Fun January and February Events in NYC and Where to Park for Them

It has officially been 2023 for a few weeks now. January and February in the Big Apple is a time for a lot of fun and interesting events. Of course, traveling to NYC can be tricky when you need to find a parking space.

Events

Looking for a parking spot in the Big Apple is serious business, and it’s no secret that it can take a lot of time and gas. In fact, according to INRIX, searching for a parking spot in the U.S. costs an average of $73 billion every year in wasted time and fuel. The good news is that you can count on the Icon GO Parking App for over 200 Icon and Quik Park locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn to make your New York experience a great one.

That said, if you’re traveling to New York City this month or the next, here are a few events to check out and where you can find a spot to park for each one!

Broadway Week

Broadway Week officially began on January 17 and runs through February 12. Events are spread all around the city, and some of the shows you can look forward to include Hadestown, Chicago, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Six, Hamilton, and more. Icon Parking has ample parking available at our garages in Greenwich Village (50 East 10th Street), Times Square (249-253 W 43rd St), Chelsea (111 8th Ave), and Midtown East (136-166 E 51st St).

Catch a Knicks Game at Madison Square Garden

January and February are a great time for basketball and there’s no better venue in the world to watch it than on the classic hardwood of Madison Square Garden. The Knicks play some world-class basketball against strong opponents at home in February like the LA Clippers, their perennial rivals the Philadelphia 76ers, the Utah Jazz, and the crosstown Brooklyn Nets. With the Icon GO Parking App enabled, you can find parking spots as close as Herald Square parking at 29th St. and 30th St. and Atrium Parking at 161-163 W 36th St.
