When Is Restaurant Week?

Restaurant Week in New York City takes place during the summer and winter from July 18 until August 21. The majority of restaurants do not participate on the weekends, so do not anticipate a prime-time Saturday night table during RW. Review the menu beforehand, as there are fewer options than usual on the RW menu. If you have dietary limitations, your options may be restricted. Monday through Wednesday bookings is more readily available than Thursday and Friday reservations.

Be sure to mention Restaurant Week when making reservations. If the Restaurant Week menu is not shown upon being seated, request it. Tipping should be based on the regular price of the dinner, not the Restaurant Week price, especially if the service was exceptional. Remember that the server is doing their duties as they typically would for full-priced meals.
