Macy’s Flower Show (April 4th – May 11th)
Spring in New York City hasn’t truly sprung until the Macy’s Flower Show. This year is extra significant with it being the 50th annual anniversary, which begins April 4th and lasts through May 11th. Each year it features a unique theme, with Macy’s transforming their storefront into a beautiful display of a vast collection of flowers and plants, set amongst breathtaking gardens and picturesque scenery. Earth Day Festival at Union Square (April 17th)
April is the month to celebrate Earth Day, and NYC does not take that lightly. Kicking off on April 17th at 12pm, the 2025 Earth Day festival in New York City’s Union Square is the perfect time to come together to call for climate action and environmental justice. New York International Auto Show (April 18th – 27th)
Car enthusiasts, this one is for you! The New York International Auto Show returns to the Javits Center for its 125th anniversary, showcasing the latest and greatest in the automotive industry. Easter Parade & Bonnet Festival (April 20th)
On Easter Sunday beginning at 10am, join in on the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival taking place near St. Patrick’s Cathedral for this century-old tradition in NYC. The festival showcases a vibrant display of elaborate costumes and creatively-fantastical bonnets, making it an entertaining spectacle for participants and viewers alike. Smorgasburg World Trade Center on Fridays (Beginning April 4th)
New York City’s favourite outdoor food market is back! Beginning April 4th and again on every Friday through until October, Smorgasburg brings a line-up of amazing food vendors with delicious selections to Oculus Plaza at the World Trade Center. Brooklyn Half Marathon (April 27th)
Who’s up for a good race? The annual Brooklyn Half Marathon takes place on Sunday April 27th starting in North Brooklyn and finishing at Prospect Park, and is expected to bring in over 25,000 participants. It’s the perfect chance to experience Bookyln in it’s purest form, with the race taking place through the city’s historic neighbourhoods and offering a marvelling view of the Manhatten skyline. Cherry Blossom Season (All Month)
One of the most tell-tale signs that spring has fully sprung in NYC is the beginning of cherry blossom season. April is peak season to watch the gorgeous and vibrant pink bloom of the cherry blossoms, and luckily for New Yorkers, the city is surrounded with them. Some of the best places to view these beautiful blossoms throughout Central Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Little Island, Roosevelt Island and more. Holi Celebrations at Prospect Park (April 6th)
