St. Patrick’s Day Parade (March 17)

On the Irish’s favorite day of the year, NYC becomes quite a party. First held in 1762, NYC’s annual St Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the oldest and largest parades in history. This year’s parade begins at 11 a.m., beginning near East 44th St. and ending at East 79th St. Luckily for you, Icon has plenty of garages along the parade route for you to park safely and join in on the festivities. NYC Half Marathon (March 16th)

For the adrenaline junkies, over 25,000 runners from around the world are expected to gather for the NYC Half Marathon this year, beginning at 7 a.m. on March 16th. Beginning in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, the scenic 13.1-mile race weaves by neighborhoods and diverse attractions in NYC (even fully shutting down Times Square, which only happens twice a year) before finishing up in Manhattan. Luminosa: A Festival of Lights (Now until March 23rd)

Queens Botanical Garden’s “Luminosa: A Festival of Lights” is a must-see this year. The illuminated trail features over 1 million LED lights and imitates a lush garden with giant lanterns. Can it even get more beautiful than that? You bet it can. Acrobatic performers, stone-carving, an artisan market and ambient music make the annual events a fantastic time for all visitors.
